About IIT Delhi Excellence Foundation
IIT Delhi Excellence Foundation (IITDEF) was launched in December 2002 by several IITD alumni with two key goals: 1. To make IITDEF the center for exceptional alumni services, both from a professional perspective as well as on the personal front; and 2. To contribute actively towards strengthening and contributing to the continued success of the institute and its alumni.
Towards these goals, IITDEF is set up as a public charity in New York state and has tax exempt status under section 501(c)3 of IRS. We have formulated some basic policies (including privacy policies) which can be viewed at its website http://www.iitdef.org. We have attempted to make the organization broadly inclusive, with all executive positions voluntary and of limited terms.
